MatEl Project Kicked-Off in Athens

On 17 January 2023, we met in Greece at the National Technical University of Athens to start the Horizon Europe Project MatEl . The vision of this project is to create the next generation of optoelectronic devices with multiple functionalities in a miniaturized footprint.

Project MatEl ‘s objective is to introduce novel on-chip integration schemes enabled by laser processing of advanced materials (such as graphene).

We aim to demonstrate the universal vision of the project on two applications in augmente dreality and biosensors for Covid-19, which will accelerate the industrial adoption of hybrid OEICs.
