PIEM at PiezoMEMS Workshop

From 19 to 20 March 2024 , Paul Muralt, Sarunas Bagdzevicius and Ramin Matloub, from PIEMACS Sarl, participated in the 10th PiezoMEMS Workshop, in Aachen, Germany, an international event thatgets together scientists and engineers from industries and universities to discuss market developments and opportunities for piezoelectric materials.

PIEMACS had the chance to present the results developed within MatEl in an oral speech and a poster:
Prof. Paul Muralt had a presentation on “Large area PLD PZT thin films for fast-growing piezoelectric thin film demand for internet of things”, sharing some insights on the advancements in Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) techniques, focusing on achieving viable processes on patterned bottom electrodes and demonstrating the latest achievements in PZT piezoelectric thin films for actuators.

To complement the presentation, PIEMACS also prepared a poster on “Piezoelectric thin films, deposited with pulsed laser deposition on 4- to 8-inch wafers”, going even further in reporting the results achieved working in MatEl.
