NTUA at the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting Panel Session

On 14th and 15th May 2024, our partner NTUA took part in the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting, organised in Brussels by Photonics21, the European Technology Platform that unites the majority of the leading photonics industries and relevant R&D stakeholders along the whole economic value chain throughout Europe.

On the first day, the Panel discussion ‘Quo Vadis Photonics? The Industrial Strategy for Photonics in the EU and abroad’ took place. There, industry and academic experts, among which our coordinator Prof. Ioanna Zergioti was included, discussed a wide range of photonics-related issues, including how the sector can contribute to policies such as the European Chips Act and technological sovereignty, international cooperation and partnerships to accelerate innovation, and strengthening the global competitiveness of the industry.
